Nina Mûr + Gala Fernández
We created a collection of six unique, hand-made glasses for the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, together with the designer Gala Fernandez.
The exclusive collection is inspired by the artist Juan Gris and his artwork “La Mujer Sentada” which is part of the permanent museum collection. The eyewear designs play with a dark color palette, deep gradients and cubic geometry to grasp the essence of the painting.
All of the glasses were hand-painted piece by piece by the amazing artist Gala Fernández. None of the designs are reproducible, therefore every pair of glasses is a truly unique piece. A collection that bridges the gap between art and fashion.

… is the material. Nina Mûr glasses are made from wood. For this reason special painting techniques can be used to create original finishes for the eyewear frames and truly unique pieces!
The limited edition of six glasses is exclusively available at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
The collaboration pays an homage to the “brand” Madrid. It was realized by the hands of designer Gala Fernández, an internationally renowned artist and expert in her field.
