We’ve created a micro-industry in Madrid to control the process and quality during every step. It gives us the freedom to innovate, creating unique models and limited editions.

OUR PROCESS IS LABOUR-INTENSIVE AND TIME-CONSUMING
Every pair of ethical eyeglasses we produce takes around 40 (consecutive) hours.
We make every single one from scratch. From designing the prototypes to achieving the desired result.
In the making of the piece, around 85% of the glasses frame construction process is manual.
We create our own plywood with thin, flexible, and resistant laminas from Finnish birch wood. We shape it into a curve from the start so it can be adjusted the facial contours and guarantee resistance.
It is then pressed for over 20 hours.
Then we cut them using CNC (computer numerical control).
We’ve programmed our own cutting software to add three-dimensionality and guarantee precision, quality and comfort.
The production processes that follow are 90% manual: sanding, varnishing, the assembly of parts and lenses, as well as numerous quality checks throughout the process.
Right up to packaging, packing and dispatch.
